Longtime friend of made590 & artist extraordinaire Studio Flos is having a pop-up shop, right in our lovely Madespace in Marrickville!
You might know Claire of Studio Flos as the artist behind our lovely Summer Lovin' and Beach Babes ranges- along with her own jewellery, illustrations, and ultra-cool home decor!
Claire has spent the last few months busily prepping for her second year running a stall at Fair Day, otherwise known as the official kick-off of the Sydney Mardi Gras Season! If you follow Claire on instagram, you'll have seen all the hard work she's been putting into creating lots of new pieces and prints just for the markets!
Sadly this week news broke that Fair Day has been cancelled- so Chris and Claire put their heads together to come up with a solution: a Pop-Up Shop in our Madespace! The timing feels especially auspicious- this idea struck just as we are about to launch our yearly pride collection! Much of Claire's work speaks to her queer identity, so the pairing simply couldn't be more perfect.
We're so lucky to have such a wonderful space with our shop floor (Chris still can't quite believe how much bigger it is than our Newtown place!), and we have so enjoyed hosting release parties over the past year, too. We're hoping this will be the first of many Pop-Ups!
Come along to shop exclusive Studio Flos pieces, pick out a piece from the Growing Together range, or just say hi! The lovely Charmaine will be in store too to help you with anything you might need.
