A new addition to our Rayna range is our short Rayna Pinafore, designed to be worn with tights in winter she's a perfect, comfy little pinafore that will fill a gap in your wardrobe you never knew you had.
FEATURES: We love this brand new shape we have created for winter with it's square neckline and elasticated shirred back panel. She is a mini length (though not scandalously short), one of the only pieces we create that's this length and she is beautifully gathered in just the right amount of ruffle. The back panel has enough stretch that it holds you in, but is incredibly comfortable and accomodating. She has side pockets hidden in the skirt to hold all your bits and bobs. The length works SO well for winter to show a little leg and we secretly LOVE Rayna with a good pair of ankle boots, or a western boot if you're feeling the country vibes. She has a cute double button strap which tucks into and under the bodice for a neat finish, this also means you can adjust the strap length by moving/resewing the button up or down on the strap. The buttons are actually working so its great for breastfeeding mums.
HOW TO WEAR: Wear our Rayna Pinafore on all your winter adventures! She is really just the most spectacular little piece for winter. Effortlessly cool but also practical, she gives you all the coverage you need without feeling exposed. Despite being a "strappy" dress, she gives good coverage under the arm and around the bra line and the shirring gives nice coverage at the back if you want to wear her in summer. This style is so cute as a go-to piece worn with a simple skivvy underneath, a good pair of boots and some tights. This little ruffley skirt in this pinafore is lovely and full but not as full as the short Rayna skirt, it's also a few cm shorter. We refined our shape to create something that works in thicker winter weight fabrics, so the skirt has just the right amount of kick in the ruffle without it being too full. We love the fitted waist without it being too tight to wear with layers underneath.
FABRIC: Lovely fine corduroy that is SO SOFT to touch with a soft velvety feel.
COLOUR: Rich dark red which errs on the side of warm red not purple/wine.
STRETCH: This garment has A LOT of stretch as the entire back panel is rows of elastic, so there is at least 10cm of stretch in addition to the flat measurement. The skirt gathers into the elastic panel and therefore will also give with your body if needed. If you like a firm or quite fitted bodice consider sizing down if you want the stretch panel to stretch and hold tight, if you want a loose fit get the size that most closely reflects your body measurements (or just slightly smaller than your measurments) and the panel will not need to stretch out too much.
FIT REVISIONS: We have revised sizing since last year and this now fits to our standard sizing, buy your normal made590 dress size (not rayna dress sizing which to this point has been generous).
